  • Hi Greg Gillilan,

Thanks for posting and sorry for the inconvenience caused by this docking station.

You can turn off your computer's sleep mode to solve this problem. The steps are as follows:

    1. Right-click the blank position on the computer desktop and select "Display Settings"
    2. Click "Power and Sleep" in the left column, and then check the right “On battery power, PC goes to sleep after” and“when plugged in, PC goes to sleep after”. The following time should be changed to "Never".

  • This doesn't seem like a valid solution.

  • This is not an answer.

  • Hi I have an 9 in 1 usb c hub

i have the adaptor connected to my Dell laptop usb c

and then I have 2 monitors connected to the port via hdmi

One of my monitors has stopped displaying and I have to unplug all and then go through this again and again for the second monitor to display first few weeks this was not issue

    is this faulty item

  • Hi @Greg Gillilan

Once your laptop goes to sleep, the hub is unavailable, the system goes into sleep mode, the hub's HDMI and USB ports lose power, have no signal, are unusable, and therefore cannot recognize the display.

Please right-click on the blank space of the computer desktop, select Display Settings, then click "Power and Sleep" on the left, change the time to enter the sleep state to "Never", and change the power plan in other power settings to balance or high performance , do not choose energy saving.

The MAC setting is closed and not in sleep mode

    1. After turning on the computer, click the System Preferences icon in the lower dock bar.
    2. In the opened System Preferences page, find the Energy Saving icon and click Open.
    3. Go to the energy-saving page, set the automatic shutdown time to never, so that the computer will not sleep as long as the monitor is not turned off.
    4. Click the power adapter option on the page.
    5. Under the power adapter page, set the automatic shutdown time of the computer when it is charging to never.
    6. Click to check the option of Prevent the computer from automatically going to sleep when the display is off.

  • Hi @Shak Malik

    1. Which cable do you use to connect your monitor to the hub (HDMI-HDMI/HDMI-DP/DP-DP)?
Because you need to confirm whether there is any problem with the two HDMI ports on the hub itself, you need to connect the two HDMI ports with the first monitor in turn to test whether the two HDMI ports are normal. Then use the second monitor to do the same test.

    2. Do you have any other laptop/tablet/phone with video output capability?
Confirm if there is any problem with this hub

    3. If you confirm that there is no problem with the hub and the HDMI port itself, it may be caused by the resolution and refresh rate.
Because it is limited by the computer USB-C port bandwidth, if the resolution refresh rate is too high,
If the resolution refresh rate is too high, the USB-C port won't be able to carry the data stream, thus the anomaly will occur,
Therefore, it is necessary for you to reset the resolution and refresh rate: first set the resolution/refresh rate of all monitors to the lowest,
If it works fine, then turn it up.
