Cannot see monitor connected to hub

  • I just received a Selore UC3915 multifunction hub.

    I connect it to my HP Envy laptop 17-cr1 using the hub's attached cable, plugged one of the two USB-C ports on the laptop.

    I connect an external keyboard to one USB-A 2.0 port on the hub and the keyboard works as it should.

    I connect an external mouse to another USB-A 2.0 port on the hub and the mouse works as it should.

    I connect a USB-C to DisplayPort cable to one of the USB-C PD + Data ports on the hub (with the other end connected to the DP port on the monitor) and the monitor is not recognized as connected.

    I try to instead connect a DisplayPort cable to the DP port on the hub (with the other end connected to the DP port on the monitor) and the monitor is still not recognized or connected.

    I restarted the computer in case that might correct the issue. It does not. Exact same issue after restarting.

    Documentation that came with the hub is almost nothing and certainly does not help me with this situation. What do I do?

  • Hi @Brian Webster
    ❶ The data of the hub and the C port of PD cannot be displayed when you use the C-DP cable to connect, because it does not have video function. So it is normal.
    ❷ It is abnormal that you do not display when using DP-DP. First, confirm whether the display can be recognized in the display settings after the connection is completed, and consider the problem of resolution refresh rate;
    Then we need you to provide us with a picture:
    The photo content must include a large picture of the computer, hub, and display, and we need to see if there is a problem with the connection.
    ❸If you have other devices that support video output C port, you can also connect the hub to test, and we will first check whether it is the problem of the computer itself.
