I have an ASUS Chromebook Model C423N, manufactured on 2021-06. My research indicate that it can handle three external monoitors via various adapters. My model # SEUC3707 Triple display hub will.not detect or display on additional monitors. I have found that my projector will work only if it is pluhhed into port 1, nut not 2 or 3.
Neither of my monitors will work regardless of which port they are plugged into. However, The projector is native HDMI whereas the monitors are Display Port connected wirh HDMI to DLP cable. So, I suspect that that is causing the incompatability with them. However, that doesn't explain the peojector only workin in port 1. Any advic? I hate to have to give up and return rhe unit.
Hi @Gary Sherwin,
The issue may be related to resolution, refresh rate, graphics card drivers and product program.
1. When connecting to Port 2 or 3, it is recommended to adjust the monitor’s resolution and refresh rate to see if the display functions properly.
2. Use a Windows upgrade program that supports video output: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qGEcNXE4JO32VW5QgHlGz34QXA07DCbR/view
Additionally, HDMI-to-DP conversion is not compatible.
Best regards
@Selore Global Thank you. You have confirmed my suspicions about HDMI-to-DP cables nor working with the device. The function of ports 2 an 3 is a different issue. My computer doesn't even derect anything plugged into these ports, so I can't adjust resolution.
So sorry to have come to this point. I was impressed with the overall appearance and solid construction of the device. But since it will not work, I am forced to return it to Amazon.
Thank you for your quick reaponse.
Regards
Gary
Hi @Gary Sherwin,
We apologize for the inconvenience this adapter has caused.
Could you please try the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Update Your Graphics Driver
- Please install the latest driver for your GPU (NVIDIA/AMD/Intel) to eliminate any compatibility issues.
2. Test with a Direct HDMI-HDMI or DP-DP Connection
- Try connecting your monitor directly using either an HDMI-to-HDMI or DP-to-DP cable to verify if the display works properly.
3. Test with Another Laptop Supporting Video Output
- Connect the hub to a different computer to check if the issue persists.
- Download and install the latest firmware upgrade 👉 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qGEcNXE4JO32VW5QgHlGz34QXA07DCbR/view
Note: The firmware upgrade must be performed on a Windows computer that supports video output. Please refer to the user manual for detailed installation instructions.
Best regards
