Screen flickering with dual monitor 1440p and 1080p set up

  • G'day Support and/or Community from down under,

Recently bought the 13 in 1 USB C Docking Station for Dual Monitor set up:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B49QYYCX?ref=emc_p_m_5_i_&th=1

Connected this to my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 7, 1440p monitor and 1080p dual monitor set up and its causing my 1080p monitor to flicker.

I've tried both HDMI cables and DP cables. The only solution i've found has been to drop my 1440p monitor down to 1080p as well.

It seemed like I was capped at 30hz for my 1080p monitor when running my other monitor at 1440p. Is this a limitation of the docking station I purchased? If so, do you have a recommendation for another model.

  • Hi @Charles Yaw,

According to the computer model you provided and the current abnormal situation, your computer should support DP1.2, up to two 1080p/60hz displays.

We recommend that you open the display settings and adjust both monitors to 1080p/60hz.

Recommended: This model to achieve higher resolution, up to support a 4k/30hz and 1080p/60hz

    Have a great day!
    Best Regards
