SEDK0701 | Poor Resolution on Third Display

  • So after giving up entirely on the SEDK1102, I opted for the SEDK0701. Thankfully, with this dock I was able to push video to three monitors, however, the resolution on the third display is terrible. I'm currently running Samsung Odyssey G5s (2 24" and 1 32") in the following configuration:

    System specs are as follows:

I've updated drivers for the Intel UHD 620 card and that didn't seem to help. I've also set the BIOS to run high resolution over USB-C. That seemed to only help for the second display which was maxing out at 800x1200 in portrait, but is now able to render 1080x1920. After all I've tried, I can only get 720x576 out of the third display. Would love to get a fix for this so I can actually use all three monitors.

  • Hi @DJ White
We have consulted the technical department for you.
Since your computer's USB-C port only supports DP1.2 and has limited bandwidth, the resolution refresh rate that can be allowed is limited.
    Solution:
You need your computer's USB-C port to support DP1.4 to get a higher resolution refresh rate.
