Hi Support and/or Community,
I've just purchased a Selore SEDK0701 Quadruple Display USB-C Docking Station. It's mostly working well, except the VGA monitor I have attached to the VGA port will not display in Full HD (1920x1080). The first monitor, which is using the HDMI 1 port is fine. Right this minute, I have reverted back to using the USB3 to VGA adapter I was previously using for the VGA monitro, which utilises the Fresco Logic driver and is working, but the whole point of me buying this docking station was to drive all the PC's peripherals from a single USB C cable, including power delivery to the PC. At present I am powering the PC and the docking station separatetly, until I get a new 100W USB-C power supply.
The SEDK0701 instructions claim that the VGA port can support up to 1080P/60Hz, which is what I want, but I just can't figure out how to get it to work at that resolution. Anyone any ideas please?
Kind regards,
Steve
Hi Support and/or Community,
You can all stand down on this one. I used the good old tried and tested 'IT Crowd' solution (from the old British TV comedy series). Switched everything off, turned it all on again and, on that subsequent occasion, the higher resolutions suddenly became accessible within the Windows 11 display settings for the VGA monitor!
Kind regards,
Steve
Dear @Steve Tomalin
I apologize for the inconvenience.
1.Regarding the resolution issue you mentioned, the adapter is only a medium, so it can only be realized if the laptop and monitor supports it.
2.Could you provide below information? We'll check to see if your laptop and monitor support high resolution.
1) Detailed Laptop model No:
Such as: HP Elitebook 830 G5
2) Detailed models of the two monitors:
3) Whether to use HDMI-HDMI or VGA-VGA cables with the same ends at both ends for connection. Do not use HDMI-DP or HDMI-VGA cables with inconsistent ends.
We need these informations for a test, thanks for your understanding.
3. Can the product get 1920x1080P when it is only connected to a VGA monitor alone?
4. Can you tell us what your current resolution refresh rate is when the two monitors are connected to the laptop?
Or you can contact our after-sales support email (support@seloreglobal.com), we will give you best solution.
Looking forward to your reply
Best regards
