We recently purchased several 9 in 1 Docking Station with Display Ports. One of these docking stations gets very hot when being used - so hot we feel it may become a fire risk.
Is this a faulty docking station? We have replaced it with another and this one seems to be working fine; no extreme heat.
Dear @Natasha Brown
I'm sorry for this problem.
Although the electronic product is weak electricity, it will heat up after using it for a long time.
So we suggest not to use it for a long time. Generally, it is recommended to unplug it to cool it after two hours of running, but it will not be very hot.
If your adapter is very hot, we can't rule out that it is caused by the product. If you are not sure, you can contact after-sales customer service to help you.
Warm regards,
Sherlock.
