HDMI port does not work, but the hub can relay a video signal

  • I have a really wired case I have a SEUC3908 which is connected to a desktop PC over an USB-C to USB-A cabel to a USB 3.1 port of the motherboard.

If I connect my monitor directly to the hub the PC seam to not recognize the display and won't show anything. However I got the hub as a replacement for a Wavlink Dock and if I connect the monitor to the Wavlink hub and the Wavlink hub via an UBS-B to USB-C cabel to the second USB-C port of the Selore hub then the display is recognized and works.

Does someone have an idea how to troubleshot this or is there maybe a driver update that I could do?

I think the Wavlink hub uses DisplayLink to server the video signal over usb.

Here some infos about the display

If you need more info for something let me know

  • Hi@Timo Weike

Thank you for your feedback on the issue, so I consulted with my technical colleagues. He said that this is a normal imagination, because there is no problem with the product itself, but it does not follow the USB protocol, so it cannot output video signals through USBA. The DisplayLink solution used by your Wavlink hub supports USBA video output.

    looking forward to your reply
